Joseph Fricero
Joseph Fricero was born with Nice the December 4th 1807 and died in this same city the October 5th 1870, is a artist-painter français.
He is the son of Philippe Fricero and Marie-Marthe Cochois, his wife.
The family of Joseph Fricero, originating in Cairo (Kingdom of Étrurie), had come to be established in Nice.
He studied painting with the workshop Barberi and at eighteen years left to study with Florence.
Joseph Fricero married with Marseilles the January 3rd 1849 Joséphine Koberwein (Youzia Iossifovna Koberwein), natural girl of the tsar Nicolas I {{er}} of Russia and Marianne Koberwein. They had four wire and a descent of this union remains nowadays.

- With the n°49 of the avenue of Estienne d' Orves (old avenue of Candia), a marble plate recalls that Joseph and his wife, painter like him, lived there of 1852 to his death and that they accepted there the empress Douairière Alexandra Feodorovna, widow of Nicolas I {{er}} of Russia. The empress had a certain merit to return visit to the natural girl of her late husband.
