Joseph Dufrane
Joseph Dufrane known as Bosquétia , born with Frameries in December 23rd, 1833 and died with Mons on December 16th, 1906, is Belgian writer patoisant and Walloon. He is the uncle of the deputy of Frameries Jules Dufrane, Walloon militant.
He adapted in dialect framerisois parts of Racine, Molière or the Fables of the Fountain, but is also the author of original works (songs, plays, tales in worms or proses, chronicles, operettas).
Its song In it east denies Co Fram' ri' S (“And it is not yet Frameries”) is sometimes regarded as the “national anthem” of Frameries, even if it is in fact a satire of the campanilism of Frameries.
A street of Coxyde ( Bosquétiastraat ), was given to this Walloon author.
Maurice Piron accommodates this author in the Anthologie of the Walloon literature .
