Family birth, childhood, relations

Joseph Leonce Di Mambro was born the August 19th 1924 with Pont-Saint-Esprit in the Gard. Resulting from a working father from Italy of north (Raphaël) and from a mother nimoîse dressmaker (Fernande), it is the elder one of 3 children: it has a sister, Florina, and a brother, Nicolas. If his/her brother always saw, his sister, with whom it maintained the very conflict relations, died in 1985, crushed by the passage of a shoed convoy whereas, to therefore make races, its car remained blocked in the middle of a level crossing at the exit of Pont-Saint-Esprit. Joseph Di Mambro carries out all his schooling in Pont-Saint-Esprit in a catholic private school. Without being good pupil, it obtains his certificate of studies. His/her mother registers it with courses of violin and request to accompany it with the mass every Sunday until the 20 years age. It remains close to his mother but in addition hates on the contrary her father in whom it sees only one workman without ambition, very severe. With the Release, Raphaël Di Mambro disappears inexplicably. Neither his/her children nor his wife will know what arrived to him.

Professional path, character traits and physical appearance

Joseph Di Mambro Marie first once on March 11th, 1944 with Jeannine Saltet (which will die in 1999), a musician like him. They will have a particularly fragile child, Bernard. He will be discovered a passion for the jewels and will work for the others during several years before settling as jeweller in his native commune in 1965. In parallel it occupies its leisures in music and will occur on several occasions with his wife and her friends. Being its physique: at the top of its " gloire" , i.e. with the beginning of the year 1980, Joseph Di Mambro was according to Michel TABACHNIK (in " Goat émissaire" page 49 published with the editions Michel LAFON) " small, corpulent man with a moustache, almost ugly under a wig. Its gilded metal glasses ringed two clear eyes. Its language, full with humor, enjoué, at the height accent of the South, was tinted turnings provençales".

A man carrying gifts?

In the years 1950, Joseph Di Mambro starts to practice spiritism and the rumor according to which it would have a gift of medium starts to be spread in Pont-Saint-Esprit. Michel Tabachnik guard a particular memory of its first meeting with Joseph Di Mambro who took place in June 1977: " I discovered this evening in him somebody with whom, for the first time, I could open carry my secret garden. Oddly, I put myself opposite an unknown to extend me on subjects about which I had never spoken with anybody. He evoked the reincarnation, the existence of the spirits, the reality of a parallel world which evolves/moves out of our space and our time. In a long monolog, it started to detail my temperament, my anguishes, my intentions, my ambitions, to determine in the least detail the strong points and the weak points of my character. I am remained under the shock. Undoubtedly, Di Mambro enjoyed a gift of médium" (" Goat émissaire" pages 49 and 50).

Order of the solar temple

Joseph Di Mambro creates with Luc Jouret the sect esoteric of the Ordre of the solar Temple. October 5th, 1994, 48 members, whose Di Mambro and Jouret, perish assassinated by ball and flarings. The share of assassination and suicide remains mysterious.
