Joseph Balthazar Bonet of Treyches was born with Saint-Jeures (Haute-Loire) the March 28th 1757 and died in Paris the August 8th 1828.

Lawyer of the Puy, Joseph Balthazar Bonet of Treyches becomes Justice of the Peace of the district of Monistrol and administrator of the department of the Haute-Loire at the beginning of the Révolution, while his/her father sits at the General states. He succeeds to him on the benches of the Convention this time. Moderated, he votes for the call to the people, death and the deferment at the time of the Procès of Louis XVI. Bound to the Of Gironde, without really forming part of their group, he is issued of charge, the October 3rd 1793, but succeeds in taking refuge in Suisse while his/her father is imprisoned in Puy, shown federalism. Returned with Convention after the fall of Maximilien de Robespierre (Thermidor 9 year II - July 27th 1794), it is in charge of a mission in the Ardèche, the Haute-Loire and the the Loire for the monitoring of the mines and the munitions factories. It sits until in 1797 with the Conseil of the Five hundred, then is named commissioner Government of the Théâtre of the Republic and Arts, as acting manager deputy manager then. From December 1802 in September 1803, it is accountant of the same Opera under the direction of Etienne Morel de Chédeville and becomes again directing then until in 1807. It enters finally to the legislative Body in December 1809. Exiled in 1816 with Brussels, it is authorized to return in France in 1818, not being completely regicide.
