Joseph-Antoine-Rene Joubert , born the November 11th 1772 with Angers, dead the April 23rd 1843 with Paris, was a French general First Empire.

Biography
Volunteer the September 15th 1791 in the 1st battalion of Maine-et-Loire (85e half-brigade of infantry of line in year IV), it made the campaigns of 1792 and 1793 with the Armée with North, was with the Siège of Verdun in August 1792, fought with Jemmapes, became sergeant the 16 of the same month., quartermaster-sergeant the January 19th 1793, and took share with the seats of Valencian Maestricht and in February and May following.Appointed second lieutenant and lieutenant the 25 pluviôse and 2 ventôse year II, being to the Armed with the Alps, it went in year IV to the Armée with Italy, attended the Prise of Mondovi and with that of Ceva, fought with Dégo, the passing of the Pont of Lodi, then with the Bataille of Castiglione in year IV, was distinguished with the passage from the bridge from Arcole in the year V, as well as the 25 nivôse according to, with the Bataille of Rivoli, where, with the head of 30 men of the 85e half-brigade, it made captive 2.000 Austrians.
