Josep Samitier

Josep Samitier (born the February 2nd 1902 with Barcelona - deceased the May 5th 1972 with Barcelona) is old a player and Entraîneur of Spanish Football , which passed most of its career to FC Barcelona.

Biography

Josep Samitier entered to the club at 17 years, and is transformed quickly into player emblematic for the organization. It is called “ the home llagosta ” (the man lobster) or “lemàgic ” (the magician).

Samitier spent thirteen years to the FC Barcelona and gained 10 Championships of Catalonia, 5 cuts and the first League disputed in Spain, the season 1928-29. In 1933 it left Barcelona because of economic dissensions to go to the Real Madrid. In 1936, it joined the OGC Nice, which it involves after the end of its career of player in 1938.

In 1944 it returns in Barça as a trainer. On the bolster, it offers to Barcelona its first championship since 1929.
