Josef Wenzl
Josef Wenzl , born on December 20th, 1984 in sport, is a German founder specialist in the tests of sprint.
The German carries out his first steps in World cup of ski touring in 2004 with Asiago in Italy. At almost 20 years, Wenzl is eliminated as of the qualifications from the test from sprint. One year later, at the time of his third participation in a test of World cup, the founder marks his first points thanks to one 18th place. Consequently, it appears regularly in the first thirty world and is affirmed as one of the best German sprinters (he becomes vice-champion of Germany at the end of 2005). At the beginning of 2006, the sprinter becomes vice-champion of the world juniors to Kranj (Slovenia). It signs its first blow of glare among the elite at the time of the test of opening of the season 2006-2007 during which it obtains the sixth place with Düsseldorf. Regularly in the points, it is selected to take part in the Mondiaux 2007 organized with Sapporo. It obtains one there 14th place at the time of the test of the sprint.
In October 2007, Josef Wenzl gains its first championship victory of the world at the time of the test of opening of the season 2007-2008 with Düsseldorf. Imposing in front of the Swedish Olympic champion Björn Lind, it takes the head of the general classification of the world cup after this first test.
