Jose de Villamil

Jose of Villamil or Jose Villamil (1789-1866) was one of the fathers of the independence of the Ecuador, founder of its Navy and conqueror of the islands Galapagos on behalf of Ecuador, Foreign Minister.

Jose de Villamil is the brother of Felipe Martin de Villamil (1783-1843).
