Jose Muñoz was born the September 24th 1941, with Buenos Aires (Argentine). He is draftsman of Cartoon.
Biography
Jose Muñoz was born in 1942 with Buenos Aires. It is only twelve years old when it follows courses of sculpture, painting and puppets in the workshop of Huberto Cerantonio and practical with him the puppet theater in the suburbs of Buenos Aires.In parallel, he attends the courses of Alberto Breccia at the Pan-American School of Article Muñoz becomes as of the 15 years age the assistant of Solano-Lopez. He is then strongly influenced by Hugo Pratt which he meets in 1959 and which urges it in 1963 to draw Precinto 56 in Mistirix. Precinto 56, detective in New York which precedes Alack Sinner is influenced by the black novel and the cinema American.
It leaves Argentina in 1972. It is in Spain that it meets Carlos Sampayo, Argentin like him, set on poetry and literature. The desire to collaborate was instantaneous. It is established between the two men large and friendly complicity: Alack Sinner , 1975 (Milano Libri) and 1976 (ED. public garden); the bar with Joe , 1981 (Casterman); Cop or private , 1983 (Casterman); Meetings , 1984 (Casterman); Vietnamese soldier Blues , 1986 (Casterman); friendly History of the bar with Joe , 1987 (Casterman); Nicaragua , 1988 (Casterman); Billie Holiday , 1991 (Casterman). In collaboration with Jerome Charyn, it publishes in 1997, always at Casterman, the hook of the snake .
