Jose María Guido
Jose María Guido (born with Buenos Aires, the August 29th 1910 - died with Buenos Aires, the June 13rd 1975) is a lawyer and Argentinian politician .
In March 1963, he was provisional president of the Senate, senator of the Río Negro and assumed the presidency of the Nation after the coup d'etat which reversed Arturo Frondizi, on the basis of constitutional regulation of the acephalia of the executive power, in order to prevent that a soldier does not exert this load. Its mandate de facto lasted of March 29th 1962 at October 12th 1963.
It cancelled the elections of March 18th, 1962. The congress meets to amend the law of acephalia and was then dissolved.
In July 1962 one enacted the Statute of the Political parties in order to refuse the recognitions of the totalitarian parties of right-hand side like left. It emitted also a decree prohibiting the harmful action of Communism.
He played the part of folding screen with respect to the schemes of the army. During its short mandate de facto armed confrontations between military, known opposite factions took place under the name of " bleus" against " rouges" ( azules versus colorados ).
Finally he convened new presidential elections the July 7th 1963 all while maintaining the proscription of Péronisme.
