Jose María Arguedas
Jose Maria Arguedas is a Peruvian writer born in 1911 in Andahuaylas (Apurimac) and died, committed suicide, in 1969.
Academic and Anthropologist, having grown in close contact with the Indians Quechua, it is one of the major voices of the indigenous literature latino American. He will endeavor in all his work to give a place to the myths and the Quechua language, in a kind of " créolité" south American which never rejects for as much the Spanish culture . Minister for the Culture of the Peru, it will make Quechua, with the Spanish , one of the two official languages of his country
