Jose Figueres Ferrer (September 25th 1906 - June 8th 1990) is a president of the Costa Rica. Mr. Figueres is the person who made abolish the Armée.

For this day, Costa Rica has been called Switzerland of America . Costa Rica is a democratic country but without army.

Figueres was president 3 times: the first time between 1948 and 1949, the second between 1953 and 1958, the third time between 1970 and 1974.

All its life, it knew to defend its ideas and to achieve large things. He was member of the Parti national Release.
