Jose Agustín Goytisolo
Jose Agustín Goytisolo is a Spanish poet , born on April 13rd 1928 and dead on March 20th 1999 with Barcelona in Spain.
It resulted from a middle-class family where a very good intellectual environment reigned. His/her mother died in March 1938 under the pro-Franco bombardments whereas it was only 10 years old, it was affected all her life by this brutal death. It made studies of right to the university of Barcelona, then in that of Madrid.
It is the elder one of the three brothers Goytisolo, all three writers, whose Juan, novelist and essay writer, is most famous. It is one of the most important writers of the generation of the 50 , of what one called the poetic school of Barcelona .
It was rather depressive this is why some think that its death (it fell from the window of its apartment, and was crushed on the pavement) is a suicide whereas for its family it is about an accident.
The singer Paco Ibáñez made a round with him in 1993 and contributed much to make known it in France. The last album of Paco Ibáñez left in 2004 is entirely composed of poems of Jose Agustín Goytisolo, it is entitled Paco Ibáñez laid has Jose Agustín Goytisolo .
