Jory Vinikour
Jory Vinikour is a Claveciniste French born in 1963.
Disciple of Kenneth Gilbert and Huguette Dreyfus, it gains the first price with the International Contest of Harpsichord of Warsaw (1993) and the following year, it gains the first price with the Contest of Prague. Soloist of international repute, it occurs in festivals such as Besancon, Deauville, Nantes, the Printemps of Prague, Bergen, Vigo like with the the United States, in Asia and Latin America. He occurs in particular with orchestras such as the Philharmonic orchestra of Radio France (Marc Minkowski), the Philharmonic orchestra of Rotterdam, Netherlands Philharmonic (Gordan Nikolic), the Orchestre of the French-speaking Switzerland (Fabio Luisi), the Chamber orchestra of Lausanne (Armin Jordan, Cristian Mandeal), the Orchestre of the MDR (Martin Haselboeck), the Chamber orchestra of Moscow (Constantine Orbelian) and presents a surprising repertory of concertos for Clavecin, between the Famille Bach and Michael Nyman, while passing by Poulenc, Martin, Martinu. It takes part in the recording of the Small Symphonia concertante (with the harpsichord Pleyel) with the Chamber orchestra of Lausanne under the direction of Armin Jordan. With the harpsichord or directing instrumental units, it accompanies Helene Delavault, Magdalena Kožená, Annick Massis, Marijana Mijanovic, Kresimir Spicer and Anne-Sofie von Otter. With the latter, it records in February 2004 CD of Italian and English music of the 17th century for Deutsche Grammophon, recording left in October 2004.
Recently: its beginnings in recital with New York with Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall) in October 2005, with a creation of the type-setter Harold Meltzer (ordered for Jory Vinikour by Fradd Torch), the exit of its recording of the four continuations for harpsichord of Bernard de Bury (Nephew), an exit at International Delos and of the master classes for the Austrian Academy baroque.
To come: recital for Music before 1800 (New York), a round of recitals with the American against-tenor David Daniels and in the concerts in of soloist with the Orchestra of the French-speaking Switzerland (dir so much. Marek Janowski) and the Symphony orchestra of the Cape (South Africa).
