Jorane
Jorane, of its true name Johanne Furrier, is a Chanteuse and Québécois violoncellist born the October 12th 1975.
Jorane discovered the very young music. Five years, the young woman originating in Charlesbourg played already of the piano. It is however only at age the nineteen years, during its studies at the department of Holy-Foy music of Cégep, in Quebec, which she discovers the violoncello. Jorane collaborates (violoncello and voice) on 6 parts of the album " Afterglow" of Sarah Mclachlan (2003).
- In 2006, Jorane collaborates with Mara Tremblay, Catherine Durand and DobaCaracol on " Hat! Félix" , a homage to Felix Leclerc.
- In 2006, Jorane interprets " The fabrique" on the album " When the country known as hello… ".
- Jorane took part in a spectacle of Bobby McFerrin to the Jazz festival of Montreal. She improvises on a part entitled " there; Riopel". The spectacle is available on DVD: " Bobby McFerrin - Live in Montreal" (2005)
