Jonny Greenwood
Jonathan " Jonny" Richard Guy Greenwood , musician British born the November 5th 1971, is one of the members of the group Radiohead. He is the brother of another member of the group, Colin Greenwood. Jonny is often regarded as the second major member of Radiohead, just behind Thom Yorke. Radiohead
Greenwood had just begun its studies when the group of before Radiohead, One has Friday, decided to sign a contract with EMI in 1991. It left soon the courses: although Jonny is the only member of the group has to have tested all the kinds of instruments (it took already courses of violin being child), it is also that which has the least advanced its studies.The influence of Greenwood is present on the majority of the songs of the group, as a principal guitarist; its compositions for Radiohead include the ballade rock'n'roll " The Tourist" and " Life in has Glasshouse" - which is reproduced respectively on OK Computer and Amnesiac .
Career solo
Its first album solo is Bodysong (2003), theoriginal one of a film of the same name carried out by Simon Pummell. His/her brother, Hake Greenwood, will have also taken part in the album as a bass player.
Anecdotes
- One of the characteristics of Jonny is to be daltonien; a fact which can make think of the paralyzed eyelid of Thom Yorke.
- Thom Yorke said that the piece " Just" album The Bends was " a challenge between me and Jonny to put the most possible agreements in a chanson".
