- Jonestown is the name carried by a great quantity of American cities: in Georgia, in the Indiana, with the Kentucky, the Maryland, in the the Mississippi, in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, with the Tennessee, the Texas and in Virginia.
- Jonestown , which was located at ten kilometers of Port Kaituma (), with the Guyana, is the name of an agrarian community and sectarian created by the reverend Jim Jones in 1974. The November 18th 1978, Jones and 914 of his followers commit suicide by introducing cyanide.
