Jonasie Faber
Joanassie Faber (sometimes Jonas , Jonasie or Joanasie Faber) was born on October 1st 1944 with the Greenland or it passes its childhood, it lives today with the Canada, in Colombia-British, close to Vancouver.
Sailor
Between 10 and 15 years, with its family, he lives with the Denmark, then he follows a formation of navigation in open sea, with the Naval Académie of Denmark where he obtains his patent. He works then with the harbor office of a port of Greenland.
Galerist and sculptor
Faber arrives as a Colombia-British towards 1974 and settles as importer and diffuser of Greenlandic Art. It realizes that it to the eye to recognize the works of art of value, as well as to create them. It ceases its work of importer to devote itself to creation and markets its own works carved in the Soapstone of Colombia-British. There starts to be interested in the Joaillerie, with the work of silverware and continuous to carve in the purest tradition inuit while remaining narrative and close to the traditional life of hunting and the animal representation.
