Jon Huntsman, Jr.

Jon Meade Huntsman, Jr. (born the March 26th 1960 in Redwood City in California) an American politician, member of the party Republican party and 16th governor of the American State of the Utah since the January 3rd 2005.

It is Mormon, member of the Église of Jesus-Christ of the Saints of the Last Days.

Graduate of the university of Utah and Pennsylvania, Mr. Huntsman was member of the administration of the White House under the mandate of Ronald Reagan then American Ambassadeur with Singapore, and commercial Minister for the East Asia in the administration of George W. Bush.

Jon Huntsman, Jr. was elected in November 2004 governor of Utah with 57% of the voices against the democratic Scott Matheson Jr.

In December 2005, he is the 4th more popular governor of the country with a rate of approval of 70% (bearing SurveyUSA Survey on 600 residents of each state carried out from December 9th to 11th 2005. Margin of error of 4%).

Married to Mary Kaye Huntsman, the couple has six children of which a girl adoptive in China.
