Joinville is a city in the south of the Brésil, located at the North-East of the State of Santa Catarina.

History

Joinville was founded the March 9th 1851, under the name of Colônia Dona Francisca, by immigrants come from Germany, Suisse and Norway. The presence of Italy NS is also current.

Joinville belongs to Federal Railroad Network (Domestic network of railroad) which connects it directly to the port São Francisco C Sul.

The city comprises a club of Football evolving/moving into 1 division in the championship of Santa Catarina and in the 3rd national division, the Joinville Esporte Clube.

Joinville is also the seat of the " Joinville Dance Festival" , a national great event which takes place every year in July. Joinville is the only city, excluded Moscow, which has a school of the Bolchoï, celebrates it Russian corps de ballet.
