Johnny Unser

Johnny Unser (born the October 22nd 1958 with Long Beach, California) is old a racing driver American.

Biography

Wire of Jerry Unser (deceased a few months after its birth in an accident during the tests of the 500 Miles of Indianapolis 1959), Johnny Unser also launched out in the automobile sport. After some appearances in the championship CART in 1993 and 1994, it joined the rows of the Indy Racing League the year of its creation in 1996. This year, he becomes the fifth Unser family member to be taken part in Indy 500, but is victim of a mechanical breakage as of the turns of heating.

Its first participation itself in Indy 500 takes place in 1997, thanks to a lawful pirouette of the organizers who decide to admit 35 cars at the beginning and not 33 like wants it the habit. The two happy ones repéchés are Johnny and female Lyn St James controls it. Until 2000, it took part in three other editions of Indy 500 like with several tests of the championship IRL.
