John Szarkowski
John Szarkowski (born the December 18th 1925 with Ashland, Wisconsin - died the July 7th 2007 with Pittsfield, Massachusetts) was a Photographe and a Curator of a museum American.
Biography
Succeeding Edward Steichen, it is of 1962 with 1991 preserving for photography with the Museum off Modern Art of New York. It introduces the documentary style into the museum by its exposure New Documents in 1967 where are presented photographs of Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander and Garry Winogrand. Then in 1976, photography color makes its entry with the museum with the exposure William Eggleston 'S guides .
