John Stoughton Refusals
The Lieutenant-colonel John Stoughton Dennis (October 19th 1820 - July 7th 1885) was a land-surveyor, officer of the Milice and Canadian civil servant .
It carried out in 1866 a attacks unhappy against the Fenian S of Fort Erié, for which it was translated into martial Cour and was discharged. Refusals was also pointed out for its role in the release of the Rébellion of the river Rouge in 1870. He is the father of John Stoughton Dennis Jr., also geometrician and recognized militiaman.
