John McCabe

John McCabe ( McCabe & Mrs. Miller ) is an American film carried out by Robert Altman, left in 1971.

Synopsis

In 1902, John McCabe arrives at Presbyterian Church, mining city of the American west. He decides to open a brothel there, which functions rather well because of presence of Miller Constancy, one of the prostitutes, who makes benefit from her experiment and joins him. But the jealousies will emerge also quickly as the success of the establishment… Killers are committed.

This film endeavors to present a less heroic side of the characters, and the reverse of the conquest of the West.
