John Lees
Born in Scotland about 1740, John Lees arrived at Quebec (Quebec, Canada) (probably) in 1761. In 1773, founded a company of imports (in particular for the Britanique army) and of trade of land and buildings, Davison and Lees, He was captain of militia during the American Invasion (1775-1776). He was Justice of the Peace and judge of the provincial Court of incoming call 1806 and 1807.
He was also the first deputy of Three-Rivers (Quebec, Canada) to a Parlement, that is to say that of the Low-Canada, where he was elected in 1792, 1796,1800 and 1804.
Deceased in 1807 in Lachine.
