John Keegan
Sir John Keegan , born in 1934, is a military historian and British journalist . It published very many works on the military conflicts of 14th with the 21e centuries in the fields as varied as the terrestrial, maritime, air war or of the information but also on the psychology of the conflicts. Its work on the battles strongly marked the military history, so that one can currently speak about " new history bataille".
He was lecturer of 1960 to 1986 with the military royal Académie of Sandhurst and professor invited to the Université of Princeton. From 1986, it becomes correspondent war of the Daily Telegraph and in 1998 took part in the Reith Lectures on the BBC.
It was made officer of the Ordre of the British Empire in 1991 then knight in 2000 by the queen Elizabeth II
