John Jones Ross

honourable the John Jones Ross (born the August 16th 1831 with Quebec, dead the May 4th 1901), was a Politician Québécois.

Initially doctor, he is vice-president thereafter then president of the College of the doctors and surgeons.

It makes the jump in policy then, to become preserving Député of Champlain in 1861. It becomes, at the time of the Canadian Confédération, appointed with federal of the district of Champlain, of 1867 with 1874. He is also elected in Champlain with the provincial elections of 1867, but resigns shortly after to become member and in 1873 president of the Legislative council.

After having occupied several ministerial functions under the governments Ouimet, To stop of Boucherville and Chapleau, it becomes Prime Minister of the province in 1884, until its resignation in 1887.

Named with the Canadian Senate in 1887, he is the president of 1891 with 1896.

He dies in Holy-Anne-with-the-Pérade the May 4th 1901.
