John H. Tilden profited from the medical teaching of the Institute from Medicine Eclectic, Cincinnati, Ohio, a medical school, founded in 1830, sign of protest against the medical schools allopathic and homeopathic of this time. He was graduate in 1872, with the rank of Doctor of Medicine. According to the best source, his/her father was Dr. Joseph G. Tilden, who came from the Vermont in 1837 to the Kentucky, State in which it Maria.
Dr. John H. Tilden started to practice medicine with Nokomis, Illinois, then during one year with Saint Louis, Missouri, and then in Litchfield, Illinois, until 1890, when it is established with Denver, Colorado. In Denver, it settled in a medical department of suburbs, in an office with other doctors. Later, it opened a sanatorium in a sector far away from the city. It directed this Sanatorium - school until in 1924, moment when it sold the Institution, for approximately half of what it had engaged to develop it, with Dr. Arthur Voss of Cincinnati, Ohio, in the intention to devote itself to the writing and conferences.
However, it missed its school and after a certain time it bought two residences on the Avenue from Pennsylvania, in Denver, it joins together them in only one and opened new a school-sanatorium, after having borrowed from a friend part of the money necessary to the purchases. It was probably in 1926. This school continued its activity until the death of the doctor, on September 1st, 1940.
It was in the first years of its practice in Illinois that Dr. Tilden started to wonder about the use of Médicament S to cure disease. Its broad readings, especially of medical studies resulting from European Medical schools, and its own reflections led it to the conclusion which there was to be a means of living in kind not to develop a disease, and, at this period, he started to formulate and develop materially his thought on the toxaemia .
At the beginning of his practice in Denver, the Doctor did not use drugs, but it put its theory into practice consisting in cleaning the body of the toxic poisons and then to make it possible nature to cure, teacher with his patients how to live without creating of toxic condition and to keep a free healthy body of disease. Realistic and without compromising, with the strict discipline, the Doctor did not waste his time with those, which did not agree to be freed from their degenerative practices; but, for its patients and disciples, it was shown at the same time extremely friendly and mentor. In 1900, it began the publication of a monthly magazine called " The Club… " who continued until in 1915, when it changed the name into " The Philosopher of Santé" , and in 1926 the name was changed into " Dream and Critical of Santé". The writing of its publication was almost entirely carried out in the first hours of the day, from three to seven o'clock in the morning. The goal of the publication was not to earn money, but to diffuse the lesson of the Doctor. With time, he arrived to a broad diffusion, not only in the United States, but also abroad, even in Australia, but that was never profitable, because the Doctor refused to make an advertizing medium of it, as the advertizing companies recommended to him.
As its death revealed it, after 66 years of practice, the Doctor had acquired only one excessively modest property. Its life was personal sacrifice and devotion to be been useful, seeking the truth, with the will to adhere to the truth when he discovered it. In its time the thoughts of the Doctor did not accept any support of medical establissement, but accepted the opposition and the sharpest judgment.
