John George Kemeny (János Kemény), born the May 31st 1926 with Budapest, dead the December 26th 1992 with Hanover, New Hampshire, was an American mathematician. He developed the computer programming language BASIC with Thomas Eugene Kurtz with the Collège of Dartmouth.
