John Felton born in 1595, was a Puritain Irish recognized like the assassin of the duke George Villiers de Buckingham.

Biography

Irishman, lieutenant in the English army sent to the help of La Rochelle besieged in 1628, it assassinated the duke of Buckingham at the time when the Flotte was going to start from England. Far from withdrawing itself from the Torment, it faced it with Fanatisme. It was subjected to the Question, tortured and hung in November 1628 for this fact.

In the Three Musketeers, of Alexandre Dumas, MILADY de Winter allures John Felton and it is it which persuades it to kill the duke of Buckingham.
