John Colter
John Colter (born about 1774 - March 7th 1812 (?)) was one of the participants in the Expédition Lewis and Clark (1804−1806) the purpose of which was to explore the Rocky Mountains. During the winter 1807-1808, Colter explored the area of current the National park of Yellowstone (). It descended the Jackson Hole and saw the Teton Arranges. It spent several months alone in the wild areas and is regarded as one of the first Mountain man.
