John Kilian Houston Brunner is a British writer of Science-fiction (September 24th 1934 - August 26th 1995).
It was born in the Oxford shire and made its studies with Cheltenham. He wrote his first news Galactic storm at 17 years under the name of Gill Hunt but in a professional way only towards 1958 started to write.
It begin with Space operated conventional before being devoted thereafter to formal research which will lead to more ambitious novels. It received the Prix Hugo and the British SF Award in 1969 and the Apollo price in 1973 with All with Zanzibar, considered today as traditional of the kind. the jagged orbit ( The jagged orbit ) received British SF Award in 1970.
It used various pseudonyms: K.H. Brunner, Gill Hunt (pseudonym shared with E.C. Tubb and Dennis Hughes), John Loxmith, Trevor Staines, and Keith Woodcott.
Its health started to decline in the Années 1980 especially after the death of his wife in 1986. He died in Glasgow in Scotland of a Cerebral vascular accident whereas he took part in the 53ème world Convention of science fiction.
