John Bost

Jean Antoine Bost was born the March 4th 1817 in Moutier-Grandval, canton of Bern (Suisse), wire of Ami Bost, Pasteur, member of the Alarm clock. He learns the piano and becomes the pupil of Franz Liszt.
Biography

In 1840, it gives up its artistic career and wishes to become, like his/her father, Pasteur.
- In 1844, he becomes Pasteur of the village of the Force (the Dordogne).
- In 1846, it inaugurates the new temple. It then decides to build an asylum for the undesirable children: handicapped people, orphans, the poor.
- on May 24th 1848, the first asylum, the Family, is inaugurated. It is the first of 9 asylums which it will make build. The unit bears today the name of Foundation John Bost.
- In 1861, it marries Eugenie Ponterie. The couple will have three children: Leïla, Caroline, Henri.
