John Andretti
John Andretti (born the March 12th 1963 with Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) is a racing driver American. He is the nephew of the world champion of Formule 1 Mario Andretti.
Biography
Wire of Aldo Andretti (the twin brother of Mario), John took part in the championship CART and several of the editions of the 500 miles of Indianapolis between 1988 and 1994. On the track, it was thus regularly brought to cross iron with his uncle Mario and his cousins Jeff and Michael.Starting from the middle of the years 1990, John gradually reorientated his career towards NASCAR (let us note besides that it became in 1993 the first pilot of the history to connect the same day the 500 miles of Indianapolis and Coca-Cola 600 of Charlotte). In spite of two victories in Winston Cup (Pepsi 400 in Daytona in 1997 and one sleeve with Martinsville in 1999), its career in the discipline forever truly taken off and since the semione, it does not have any more a regular wheel, and must be satisfied with episodical appearances in Nextel Cup as in Busch Series.
In 2007, it carries out its return to the single-seater at the time of the 500 miles of Indianapolis.
