John Alexander Dickinson
John Alexander Dickinson is a historian Québécois of Canadian origin anglo- born with Toronto in 1948. He is at present full professor with the Université of Montreal. Its fields of studies include/understand, but not exclusively, the Amerindian relationship between and Européens of the preindustrial time, the Canadian socio-economic history of XVIIe and the XVIIIe century as well as the Canadian family strategy at the same time.
Biography
Having supplemented its doctorate with the University of Toronto, it returned to the University of Montreal (where it had previously supplemented its control) in 1980 as professor-assistant. Subsequently, it held the title of professor invvity of the University of Geneva, Pisa and the Université of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-in-Yvelines. It published many scientific articles in several reviews of which, enter others, the Revue history of French America, the Revue of right of McGill and the Revue economic and social history.
