Johannes Govertus De Man

Johannes Govertus De Man is a zoologist Dutch, born the May 2nd 1850 with Middelbourg and dead the January 9th 1930 in this same city.

It becomes preserving with the Rijksmuseum you Natuurlijke Historie of Leyde where it specializes on the Crustacé S décapode S and the Nématode S not-parasites. It makes also appear some research on the flat worms, the Sipunculide S and the vertebrate ones.

The changes which it introduces into the collections of Mammifère S do not satisfy the director of the Natural history museum, also De Man must leave the institution only eleven years after being entered there. It passes the remainder of its life to be worked in the house of his parents with Middelbourg and, later, in a house at the edge of the shore, close to Reimerswaal in the estuary of the the Eastern Scheldt, alive thanks to the incomes of its family.
