Johann Georg Abicht

Johann Georg Abicht (1672, Königssee - 1740) was a Théologien German Luthérien .

After having finished its studies in the universities of Iéna and Leipzig, Abicht became professor in Eastern languages in 1702. In 1707, it was named vice-chancellor of the College of Gdańsk and Pasteur of the Église of the Holy Trinity. In 1729, it was named general superintendent, professor of theology and Pasteur of the church of the town of Wittenberg.

HSes the most known work relate to the Eastern languages and Hebraic archeology.
