Johan and Pirlouit

Johan and Pirlouit is a series of Cartoon carried out by Peyo then starting from the horde of the corbel scenarized by Yvan Delporte and drawn by Alain Maury.

Johan, the intrepid knight, and of his companion of adventures, the small famished joker Pirlouit (and his faithful Biquette), live in the Middle Ages where they meet in particular the Homnibus enchanter.

At the beginning, Johan is the single hero of the adventures, and meets Pirlouit during the Lutin of the wood to the rocks , which consequently becomes a hero with whole share. The later adventures put in bottom a moyennageuse reality imagined by the author, strewn with Sorcellerie and disappeared Mythe S. That leads us to the appearance of the Schtroumpf S, which will carry out later an autonomous career starting from the first mini-account published in the Newspaper of Spirou in 1958: Schtroumpfs blacks .

The last album carried out by Peyo itself is the Magic spell of Maltrochu , going back to 1972. Taken then by the success of Schtroumpfs, Peyo, in spite of its desire to find these characters, will not find any more time to devote to the realization of new albums of Johan and Pirlouit.

After its death, the series is taken again with Alain Maury with the drawing, and Yvan Delporte and Thierry Culliford with the scenario. For the album the Gypsum flower , the scenario is in Luc Parthoens and Thierry Culliford.

Hanna-Will bore Productions produced a series of cartoon films in 1982.

Characters

  • Johan : rider of the King, courageous, skilful with the sword and the arc, this young page with the brown hair dreams to become knight.
  • Pirlouit : dwarf fair and glouton, froussard and poor musician, he lived plunders in Wood with the Rocks before the King does not employ it like buffoon.
  • Biquette : the goat of Pirlouit, incompetent to resist a cabbage but having a strong character. Its blows of horns are frightening…
  • the King: débonnaire but firm, large wine amateur, the King is loved of his subjects and his vassal. He has a whom charms niece but not direct heirs.
  • Homnibus : astronomer and magician, it has the gift to read in a crystal ball. He is also alchemist and herbalist. He is assisted by his apprentice, Olivier.
  • Rachel : old witch, with the sulfurous reputation, it has a good bottom and knows the composition of various philters, of which that which makes die laughter.
  • the count de Tréville: fringant knight, it is a model for Johan.
  • Dame Beard: old maid always equipped with a green dress, it is the venomous tongue of the castle.
  • the Schtroumpf : They make appearances, always by the means of Homnibus, in the Flute with six schtroumpfs , the cursed Country , the Magic spell of Maltrochu , the Horde of the corbel .
