Joel TAC
Joel TAC (born the February 15th 1918 with Paris and deceased the October 8th 2005 with Houses-Laffitte in the Yvelines) is a resistant French, Compagnon of the Release and Politician.
Second world war
In 1939, it is student in right and is mobilized with the declaration of war. It passes by Saint-Jean-with-Luz to join the Great Britain and engages in FFL. Affected to the 1 company of infantry of the Air formed the September 29th 1940 by the vice-admiral Muselier, commander provisional of FAFL, it is parachuted close to Vannes (Operation " Savannah") in March 1941: it is a question of killing the pilots of the Kampfgeschwader (flotilla of combat) 100, based at the aerodrome of Meucon. Under the responsibility of SOE, the mission falls through. Remained in France, it helps, in May 1941, a free French commando of the 1 company of parchutists to destroy the power station of Pessac, in the Gironde, which feeds in electricity the U-Boot, before joining the Great Britain while passing by the Spain. Returned by sea in October 1941, in company of its radio operator, Alain de Kergorlay, it organizes in Brittany the first network-action in occupied zone, network OVERCLOUD (depend on the Special Operations Executive, section RF). The February 5th 1942, it is stopped, like his/her parents, his brother and his sister-in-law.It is held in Angers, then with Fresnes until July 1943. It is then sent to the camp of the Struthof in Alsace, and in September 1944 is transferred to Dachau, then with Neuengamme and finally with Large-Rosen in Silesia. At the time of the " convoy of the mort" from January 1945, he is the only survivor of a coach of 100 people. He goes then to Dora, then with Bergen-Belsen, where he is released by the English on April 15th, 1945.
After the war
In 1953, he works as journalist Pigiste for Paris-Press and Paris Match .In 1958, he is elected appointed of Paris UNR (which will become the democratic Union for Ve République of 1967 to 1971, the Union of the democrats for the Republic of 1971 to 1976 then the RPR), in the 18th district, with Montmartre, and will be re-elected without interruption until 1981. In 1959 he becomes general secretary of the federation UNR of the Seine.
