Joel Hastings Metcalf

Joel Hastings Metcalf (January 4th 1866 - February 23rd 1925) was a American Astronome.

He was graduate of Harvard Divinity School in 1892. He officiated as unitarian minister of religion with Burlington (Vermont) then with Taunton (Massachusetts), with Winchester (Massachusetts) and with Portland (Maine).

He discovered or Co-discovered some Comet S, of which 23P/Brorsen-Metcalf and 97P/Metcalf-Brewington. He also discovered several Astéroïde S.
