Joe in the bees

Joe in the bees is a Televised series of French Animation in thirteen five minutes episodes, created and carried out by Jean Image and diffused starting from December 1960 on the first chain of ORTF.

Synopsis

One day that he walks to the countryside, Joe surprises two kids flying of the Miel in a hive. Furious, it succeeds in stopping them and making them flee. To thank it, the queen of the bees, Queen Fleur de Miel 145, and its Bzz adviser propose to him to give him the size of a insect in order to visit the kingdom of the bees.

Comments

In 1973, Jean Image produced a one 57 minutes duration old film, heading Joe small boom-boom , which takes again part of the scenes of the series but from which the end is different. In this Feature-length film, a group of boys discover a phantasmagoric castle during a stay in camp-site. The boys discover a very large man living there who imprisons the boys in a machine which reduces them to the size flies. A boy, Joe, escape and saw an adventure in a hive. When it saves the hive valiantly, the queen bee, Reine Fleur de Miel 145, the adoube. Thereafter, they organizes the bees and other animals of wood to attack the castle and to save his/her imprisoned friends.

The series also gave rise to two derived series: Joe in the ants and Joe with the kingdom of the flies .
