Joe Venuti
Giuseppe Venuti , known as Joe Venuti (September 16th 1903 - August 14th 1978) is a Violon ist of American Jazz.
Venuti was born on board the boat whereas his/her parents emigrated of Italy. Regarded as the father of the violin jazz, it opened to the way in the use of the string instruments in the jazz with his friend of childhood the guitarist Eddie Lang.
During the Years 1920 and the beginning of the Years 1930, Venuti recorded much. He worked with Benny Goodman, the Dorsey Brothers, Bing Crosby, the Boswell Sisters and the principal musicians of the white jazz. However, after the untimely death of Lang in 1933, it left the front of the scene. After one period of relative darkness in the Years 1940 and 1950, it was redécouvert at the end of the Années 1960. He played with the saxophonist ténot Zoot Sims who were as profitable as his preceding collaboration with Eddie lang. Venuti and Sims recorded interesting discs between the end of the Années 1960 and the beginning of the Années 1970: coded appropriate to the career of the large violonist.
