Joe Shuster
Joe Shuster (July 10th 1914 - July 30th 1992) was a draftsman of Comic S of Canadian origin . It is primarily known to have been with Jerry Siegel the Co-creator of the character of Superman.
Wire of immigrants Jewish S, Joseph Shuster was born with Toronto in Ontario. His/her Julius father was immigrant of Rotterdam and his/her Ida mother came from Kiev. The family having evil to join the two ends, Joe Shuster worked very young person as deliveryman of newspapers for the Toronto Star . The environment of the large newspaper, the agitation of its offices, and the fantastic stories of the comics color had a powerful impact on him. It started to draw to divert itself at that time.
He was the cousin of one of the most popular actors of Canada, Frank Shuster. At the 10 years age, him and its family moved with Cleveland in the Ohio. It is there that it became acquainted with Jerome Siegel with which they started to publish a fanzine Science Fiction. Shuster drew the stories written by Siegel, creating a character who evolved/moved quickly as super hero. In 1938 they sold it with cd. Comics, which placed Superman on the cover of their first number of Action Comics in June.
During the first appearances of Superman, its hero Clark Kent worked for the newspaper Daily Star , name that Shuster had based on that of its former employer of Toronto. When the comics taken an international width, the newspaper became the Daily Planet .
Joe Shuster was quickly famous to have created one of the most known characters of fiction in the world. Into full Great depression, it was left there very well while drawing the adventures Superman. However, in 1946 the duet essuya of the legal contentions with cd. in connection with the rights on Superman, and after a two year old combat they gave up their claims on the character in exchange from approximately 200.000$.
In 1978, it started again with Siegel its continuations against cd. Comics in connection with the rights on Superman and they gained each one an annual rent of 35.000$ for the remainder of their life. He and Siegel gained a Eisner Award in 1992.
Joe Shuster is deceased this year there with Los Angeles in California.
