Josevata Taliga Rokocoko , more known like Joe Rokocoko , born the June 6th 1983 with Nadi in the islands Fiji, is a player of Rugby New Zealand, evolving/moving at the station of winger.
Winger with the impressive physique, often compared with large the star Jonah Lomu, it is extremely fast (10.66 seconds to the 100 m) and very skilful to avoid the platings by his hooks. He holds already two records: 17 tests during the 12 tests of the season 2003 and only New Zealand player to have marked at least two tests in four consecutive tests.
After beginnings in the Super 12 2003, it joined the Blacks in 2003 against the English.
After Super 12 2005 less convincing, it does not take part in the tests against the Lions but returns at the time of the Tri-nations for a second victory, gaining in same time the Bledisloe Cup. Joe Rokocoko is regarded as the worthy sucessor of Jonah Tali Lomu, certain neophytes thinking even that his defensive, offensive capacities and its skill in the air balloons make a player more complete of it than Lomu. Forming part today of the best wingers in the world, with the Fijian Rupeni Caucaunibuca and South-African the Bryan Habana. Its family is not less known in the world of Rugby, Rokocoko being the cousin of the Fijian and New Zealand Joeli Vidiri (player of the Auckland Blues and the All Blacks, craftsman of the memorable victory of the Blues vis-a-vis Brive in the years 1990-2000), like Sitiveni Sivivatu, Fijian, and he also established for Blacks, evolving/moving him also with the wing, and being a frightening competitor. They were established besides together for the first time vis-a-vis in South Africa at the time of the last match of the Tri-Nations 2006!
