Joe Lynn Turner

Joe Lynn Turner is a former singer of Fandango, Rainbow and Deep Purple. It was born the August 2nd 1951 with Hackensack in the New Jersey.

He was the singer of the Fandango group of 1976 with 1980 with which he carries out 4 albums between 1977 and 1980.

In 1980, it receives a call of Ritchie Blackmore (ex- Deep Purple), which, after the departure of Ronnie James Dio, is in the search of a new singer for his group Rainbow. Joe records 4 albums with Rainbow of 1981 with 1983, from where the " result; hits" : " Stone Cold" , " I Surrender" , " Spotlight Kid" and " Street Off Dreams".

In 1984, Ritchie Blackmore belongs to the reformation of the original line-up of Deep Purple, which leaves free course to Joe to start a career solo whose first album is " Rescue You" 1985.

In 1987, Joe becomes the singer of the " Rising Force" of Yngwie Malmsteen for the album " Odyssey" , which to date remains the largest business success of the Swedish virtuoso.

It is then called again by Ritchie Blackmore in order to replace Ian Gillan in Deep Purple after the departure of this one in 1989. Joe will be replaced by his predecessor in 1992.

He carries out since a prolific career solo working in particular with Glenn Hughes and Nikolo Kotzev.
