Jocelyn Thibault

Jocelyn Thibault (born the January 12th 1975 with Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian player of professional Hockey evolving/moving at the station of goalkeeper for the Penguins de Pittsburgh in the National league of hockey. He is married in Melanie Trachy and had three girls: Noemy, Zoe and Annabel.

Career

Jocelyn Thibault started as a junior in the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec (LHJMQ) with the Draveurs of Three-Rivers. He however became guard number one when the team is moved with Sherbrooke to borrow the name of the Faucon. This year, the guard carried out his team finally LHJMQ, against the Titan of Laval, where they were inclined. He nevertheless was appointed better guard with the country.

He was fished out by the Nordiques of Quebec to the 10th position at the time of the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1993. He became the second guard, after Tom Barasso, to play in the LNH at 18 years. He gained its first match against Penguins de Pittsburgh by the mark of 7-4. He played for the Scandinavian ones then for the Avalanche of Colorado during the removal of the team in Denver. In 1995, it was exchanged with the Canadian of Montreal with Andrei Kovalenko and Martin Rucinsky in exchange of Patrick Roy and Mike Keane. After having played for the Canadians, it was exchanged with the Blackhawks of Chicago against Eric Weinrich, Jeff Hackett and Alain Nasreddine. During the season 2002-03, it made its first appearance with the match of stars. Thibault was acquired by Penguins the August 10th 2005 in exchange of a choice of 4th round at the time of the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 2006. It however was wounded during practically a whole season and occupies at present the post of second guard, behind Marc-Andre Fleury. He becomes the first guard of Penguins has to register a Blanchissage against the Devils of the New Jersey, on their skating rink the March 14th 2007.

He has the privilege to be the victorious guard of the last match played Forum of Montreal in 1996 like with the Maple Leaf Gardens in 1999. He also gained the first match in the Molson Center, become the Center Bell. With the team 2006-07 of Penguins, they arrive for the first time to the eliminatory Séries since 2002 but they lose with the first turn against the Senators d' Ottawa.

July 6th, it signs a contract with the Sabers of Buffalo to be the lining of Ryan Miller.
