Joan Hakes

Joan Collins is large a British Actrice , born the May 23rd 1933 in London, whose career could have been that, says one, of Elizabeth Taylor.

The actress should have held the title role of Cléopâtre (1963) of Joseph L. Mankiewicz but turning was unceasingly deferred and the timetable of Hakes did not correspond any more. Before being offered to Liz Taylor, the role was proposed with Audrey Hepburn.

Joan Collins is known more to have changed of dress in a film in Sins (85 different costumes)!

Hakes in particular played in the Earth of the Pharaons (1955) of Howard Hawks, but it is for its role of bitchy girl inénarrable in the serial Dynastie (1982-1989) that the actress remained in the memories. Vis-a-vis John Forsythe and Heather Locklear, she played the plague Alexis Carrington, whose them rioting (“Catfights”) with Krystle (Linda Evans) made serial a world success.

Very friendly with Aaron Spelling, the producer of Dynasty , she played in many her series whose cruising has fun , Starsky and Hutch , but also in Amicalement yours… with Tony Curtis and Roger Moore. Without forgetting some appearances in one of the comedies with success of NBC, Will & Grace .
