Joakim Frederik Schouw
Joakim Frederik (or Joachimus Fredericus ) Schouw (or Schow ) is a Botaniste Danish, born in 1789 with Copenhagen and died in 1852.
He studies at the university of Copenhagen and becomes professor of Botanique in 1821. He is in particular the author of:
- Grundtroek til in almindelig Plantegeographie (Copenhagen, 1822, translated into German in 1823).
- Plantegeographisk Atlas (Copenhagen, 1824).
- Skildring af Vejrligets Tilstand I Danmark (Copenhagen, 1826).
- Specimen geographiae physicae comparativae (Copenhagen, 1828).
- Table of the climate and the vegetation of Italy, result of two voyages in this country, in the years 1817-1819 and 1829-1830 (Copenhagen, two volumes, 1839).
