Jiuquan

Jiuquan (酒泉; Pinyin: Jiǔquán) is a city of the province Gansu in China.

Demography

The population of the prefecture was estimated at: 900000 inhabitants in 2004  , and that of the town of Jiuquan with: 74062 inhabitants in 2007 .

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Jiuquan exerts its jurisdiction on seven subdivisions - a district, two city-counties, two counties and two autonomous counties  :
  • the district of Suzhou - 肃州区 Sùzhōu Qū   ;
  • the town of Yumen - 玉门市 Yùmén Shì   ;
  • the town of Dunhuang - 敦煌市 Dūnhuáng Shì   ;
  • the county of Jinta - 金塔县 Jīntǎ Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Guazhou - 瓜州县 Guāzhōu Xiàn   ;
  • the Mongolian autonomous county of Subei - 肃北蒙古族自治县 Sùběi měnggǔzú Zìzhìxiàn   ;
  • the Kazakh autonomous county of Aksay - 阿克塞哈萨克族自治县 Ākèsài hāsàkèzú Zìzhìxiàn .
