Jinzhong

Jinzhong (晋中; Pinyin: Jìnzhōng) (or Yuci ) is a city of the east of the Chinese province of the Shanxi. Its population was of: 238686 inhabitants in 2006. It is the seat of a évêché catholic.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Jinzhong exerts its jurisdiction on eleven subdivisions - a district, a city-county and nine counties  :
  • the district of Yuci - 榆次区 Yúcì Qū   ;
  • the town of Jiexiu - 介休市 Jièxiū Shì   ;
  • the county of Yushe - 榆社县 Yúshè Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Zuoquan - 左权县 Zuǒquán Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Heshun - 和顺县 Héshùn Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Xiyang - 昔阳县 Xīyáng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Shouyang - 寿阳县 Shòuyáng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Taigu - 太谷县 Tàigǔ Xiàn   ;
  • the county of IQ - 祁县 Qí Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Pingyao - 平遥县 Píngyáo Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Lingshi - 灵石县 Língshí Xiàn .
